Guilherme Gomes
Biography
Guilherme dos Santos Gomes (born February 24, 2006) is a Portuguese actor, screenwriter, writer, and amateur director. He began his career in the early 2020s, founding the humorous chronicle blog "A Psique de Guilherme" in 2022. This later led him to independent online filmmaking, with short films conceived, written, and directed by himself, with the participation of members of his close family.
Guilherme was born in Porto but has lived his entire life in Lamego. The son of Andreia Santos, a primary school teacher, and Domingos Gomes, a member of the National Republican Guard (GNR), he grew up in a middle-class family. From a young age, he demonstrated a keen interest in reading and writing, having taught himself to read at just four years old. He attended kindergarten in Avões, his maternal grandparents' village, primary school at the now-defunct Patronato Nun'Álvares Pereira, and the remainder of his compulsory education at Colégio de Lamego. He also attended Law school at the University of Porto, which he abandoned due to lack of fulfillment, and instead enrolled in the Communication Sciences program at UTAD.
