Azzam

A young Syrian finds a plant in the bulky waste in wintry Berlin. He doesn't seem to be sure whether he should take it with him. The day is cold and he doesn't have gloves, but somehow he can't bring himself to leave the plant on the street. After warming his hands in a café and cleaning the plant, he takes it with him to a collective accommodation facility for refugees. At the entrance checkpoint, he asks the security guards if he can take it with him, but is told no.
